That’s gas is the Irish way of saying something is funny, amusing, or entertaining — and it can be meant sincerely or loaded with sarcasm, depending on the tone.
You’ll hear it in phrases like:

• “Isn’t she gas?”

• “Jaysus, that was a gas night.”

It can mean genuinely hilarious… or not funny at all but I’m being polite about it. That’s Gas simply means “That’s funny” in Irish slang.
